WELL DONE GORDON, YOUR COMMENTS ARE DULY NOTED.
As a tax paying citizen of the United Kingdom living freely within this wonderful democratic society, by virtue of the statutes given us by this Country, we hereby declare the law is an ‘ass’ led by an even bigger...
And it doesn’t just happen in Medway you know!

The last time we looked there was a law against playing ball games on the highways.. Err, yes. It comes under The Highways Act 1980 s161(3). Really? Well here’s how good that Act is...
We wrote a letter of complaint to the local council, pointing out the damage being
done, and suggested some "no ball games" signs were erected. They wrote back saying
as this was not council land, they could not erect such signs. However, the letter
was forwarded to the county council (highways) who could not help, but forwarded
the letter on to the police - nice to see my council tax being used.
They found a specific offence: The Highways Act 1980 s161(3) states that "if a person plays football or any other game on a highway to the annoyance of a user of the highway he is guilty of an offence and liable to a fine not exceeding level 1 on the standard scale” (the price of 20 footballs or £200).
Here’s the good bit. The police came... and guess what? They told me there was nothing they could do - then told me to contact the county council (highways)!
Let’s all make a visit to 10 Downing Street and play ‘footy’ outside Gordon’s house. With any luck the ball might bounce off his hollow head!
Send us your e-mail Ian, we really want to hear how good your council is.

Is that your car Gordon?
“But the The Highways Act 1980 s161(3) doesn’t apply to me for two reasons”.
1) It isn’t my car, you paid for that with your taxes.
2) I make the rules as I go along.
